FACKBOOK Free Gift Giving
Facebook Free Gift :
I've always wonder how you give a Facebook gift and what the big deal was, so I decided I would send my fiance a gift to see how it works.
"Applications" on the left side menu. There were so many apps it was confusing and a little overwhelming. I scrolled to the bottom of the page and saw the category "Family & Friends", I clicked on it, only to see a whole bunch more apps that weren't what I was looking for.
But I did notice that now on the left hand side was "Search Apps box". I typed in the word "gifts" into the Search Apps box.

I logged into Facebook and clicked on :
The top app that shows up is the Facebook gifts app, I clicked on the link "Gifts", which takes you to a fan page. On the left side there is a button that says "Go to Application", I clicked on it. They it got fun.

Step 1, choose your recipient, I typed in my fiances name. Then I had to choose the type of gift I wanted to send. Virtual Gifts where lots of cute little clip art. You can send drinks, flowers, chocolates and tons more. All the virtual gifts were 10 credits each and I'll explain that in a bit.
Then you have the Charity gifts which have different cost amounts listed under the charity gift clip art ranging from $5 USD to $68 USD. As you scroll over each clip art in the charity section, a description box changes and lets you know what your money will go towards.
For example there is a little tent titled "Shelter for Haiti" and if you bought it as a gift the money would go to the American National Red Cross to help a family in Haiti with tarps, wood and rope, so they can sleep in a protected enclosure while waiting for a new home.

E-cards are another type of gift you can give :
And as I found out you can personalize some of the cards making them absolutely hilarious. The last option is the Sports and Celebrities gift section these are exactly what you would expect, sports and celebrity clip art. These gifts were 20 credits each.

So what are credits, well you have to buy credits. I know it was said the gifts are not free. Five dollars gets you 50 credits, ten dollars equals 100 credits and twenty dollars is 200 credits.
Even though my first gift sent was and 10 credit clip art, I don't think I would send these two often, however after playing with the personalized e-cards I have to go back and send one right now. I think I'm hooked.
